While many of you may be having problems losing weight, many Filipino children and parents have nothing on their table. Most of them have no homes and table at all.
When your kids’ ultimate dreams may be to become a pilot, a doctor, a policeman, or a teacher, many kids dream of just having something to eat.
During our missions with our own Angat Pilipinas Coalition for Financial Literacy and in partnership with civil society groups and NGOs like PUSOD, Oxfam, World Experience-Smokey Tours, (and soon with Save the Children Foundation), we’ve met many children ages 4 to 10 weighing way lesser than they should be because of hunger and malnutrition.
In this video by GMA7’s Reel Time, you’ll find out more about the problem of malnutrition in the country. This is not for the weak of heart though.
How do you see the condition of many Filipino children now after watching this episode? What can you do to alleviate malnutrition?
You can do something to end poverty and hunger in our country. Support and volunteer our financial literacy and outreach missions to public schools and poor communities.
