“Cyberpreneur Philippines” Book Launch to Tackle Online Business Opportunities

Fed up with Manila traffic? It’s now officially the worst in the world, according to the navigation app Waze. Before even getting to the office, many already feel spent by getting stuck on EDSA or lining up for the MRT for hours on end.
Imagine working anywhere so long as there’s Internet connection.

“Cyberpreneurs” enjoy this lifestyle, working in shared offices, coffee shops, or even in their bedrooms. These business-minded Filipinos make good use of the Internet to sell services, create various digital and software products, or get into retail through e-commerce.

How to be a cyberpreneur

If you want this option, Cyberpreneur Philippines: Online Business Start-up Guide, the latest title from PageJump, holds the answers for you. Edited by Ray Calbay, Marv de Leon, and Paolo Lising, the book is a compilation of tips, insights, and practical suggestions by some of the country’s most successful and up-and-coming online entrepreneurs.
“The book serves as a manual for Filipinos to get inspired and jump-start their online entrepreneurial journey,” says Anton Diaz, founder of the popular blog Our Awesome Planet, in his foreword to the book.

The book launch is set on October 25, 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street branch. Those who will attend have the opportunity to interact in an open forum with the book’s contributors. The event is open to the public.

Readers are encouraged to log on to the book’s companion website (www.cyberpreneur.ph) for more content or discuss in social media using the #CyberpreneurPH hashtag. Aside from Fully Booked, Cyberpreneur Philippines will also be available in National Bookstore and PowerBooks branches nationwide, and may also be ordered internationally or as an e-book from Amazon.com.
