Instead of following the tradition of posting the top blog posts of the year, I decided to write a shorty of my personal memoir, a glimpse of what transpired in my life in 2012.
So no top 10’s, top 20’s, etc. Only the top Bible verses (numbers of chapter/verses) to guide us in 2013. Don’t lose these Bible numbers
The beginning of 2012 was not as good as I wanted it to be.
The things that I expected to receive just didn’t come. And worst, I even lost some things that I already have. It even came to a point when I even feared losing everything.
I only had my wife to support me and encourage me to hold on and see what’s in store for the rest of the year.
How could I forget the Lord’s promise?
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
In the middle of 2012, a new blessing came and I knew this was one of the Lord’s plans for me.
God reminded me to forget the sad things of the past and move forward to a better second half of 2012. I decided to just focus on my goals and to remain in Him despite all the negative circumstances.
And I think the Lord has just replaced an old coat that was taken away from me in the beginning of the year.
Just the right fit!
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
As we end 2012, God is reminding us to stop living in our painful past. He wants us instead to stand up, lick our wounds, and strive to reach for the things that our body and soul needs.
In the same manner, we need to forgive ourselves.
Only if we sincerely forgive ourselves and others will our New Year’s resolutions be realized.
Philippians 3:13-14
No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven.
In a few hours from now, people will be celebrating the coming of the New Year. I hope that we celebrate as well the coming of the Son of man into this world.
It is good that as we welcome 2013 and say goodbye to 2012, let us also be reminded that we always have our Jesus with us, the same Messiah of yesterday, today and forever.
Lastly, I would like to thank you for following blog which I only started in the last quarter of 2012. I am hopeful that you will continue to support it and my advocacies in 2013.
I pray that you and your family will continue to be happy and blessed as you walk towards your success and goals in life.
Happy New Year to all!
