Although the studies were done for the U.S. job market, the results could almost be the same for other Western states and emerging nations like the Philippines.
Having said that, the continuing problem on joblessness in the Philippines has more impact and significance in the society than issues such as gender pay gaps. There are a lot of things that our government and the private sector as a whole have to address in order to provide jobs for more Filipinos.
We hope to have lesser OFW’s (overseas Filipino workers) in the future because of dire need back home. We hope to have more entrepreneurial and financially literate Filipinos to sustain the country’s growth in the grassroots level.
Instead of becoming employees, put up a business and provide new jobs to jobless Filipinos.
