We’re Going Back To Bahrain!

After conducting a very successful seminar in Bahrain last June 20, 2014, our dear OFW’s based in that tiny Arabian Gulf island will experience another informative session on July 25, 2014.

But before we get into details on what to expect for the next seminar, let us take you back to some of the powerful images from the last event that we had in Bahrain.

The “Practical Finance & Investing for OFW’s” was attended by more than 70 OFW’s in Bahrain

The seminar was hosted by our pastor friend, Benie Carino, who leads her flock at JCSGO (Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach), and Mr. Elpie Quitevis, who is currently the head of PICPA (Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants) for the whole Gulf area.

Noel Arasula gave an inspirational talk on Biblical finance and how God wants us to become responsible spenders.

Before talking about investing, our team from KSA make sure that the principles of financial stewardship and the Biblical implication of debts and spending are discussed first. This series of talks from Noel Arasula is very powerful that OFW’s who attend begin to look at themselves and assess their spending lifestyles.

Sharing to our OFW’s the basics of financial planning

My part in this learning session was to share the basic things that one needs to prepare before even considering investing in paper assets, real estate, or business. Topics about the importance of tithing, insurance, and emergency funds, increasing one’s cash flow, having passive source of income, among others were discussed in this segment.

Roland Gallarde shares his experience and techniques in stock and pooled fund investing.

Another volunteer speaker who passionately shares whatever he learned and continues to learn is Roland Gallarde. Although he’s just invested recently in the stock market, mutual funds, and UITF’s, he contributes a lot to the advocacy by not only giving talks like this but by preparing everything that the group needs in order to make the learning event possible.

Our eager-to-learn OFW’s from Bahrain

We really love our kababayans in Bahrain! We will never forget the generosity of our volunteer partners like Rose Gala, who accommodated us in their wonderful home and showed us around, and introduced us to important people in the Filipino community in Bahrain. She also was our official event photographer!

Same goes out to our other volunteers like Bong Cirujales who did a lot of things to make this event possible. Mr. Quitevis also opened doors to this advocacy by reaching out to a lot of people and organizations. Pastor Benie Carino and her sister will never be forgotten as well as she was the one who initiated to have this event happen for the first time in Filipino community’s history in the island of Bahrain.

And of course, our generous sponsors like DHL, Lolita’s Bakery, Christine Trading, and JCSGO have been very instrumental to the success of this seminar.

And so as our way of showing them how we appreciate and value their warm welcome last time, we are going back to Bahrain on July 25, 2014 to give further knowledge about growing money and how to make them work for us!

Friends in Bahrain, fill out the registration form below:

But as much as we would like to have the same number of attendees in this next seminar, we can only accommodate around half of those who attended last time. But we will make sure to have another one after this. We would like to see more OFW’s transforming into OFI’s in Bahrain!
