Be The Source: Ann Makosinski at TEDx

OFW’s and Filipinos based abroad are being challenged by the circumstances to take part in the upliftment of the Philippine society in all forms possible. Most of the times the distance between the Philippines and the foreign lands they are brings out the best in them.

Contributing to the nation’s economic improvement should not just stop in sending money to our loved ones. Ana Makosinski belongs to the young, vibrant and intelligent Filipino generation based abroad who never forget their roots who find solution to the problems of the common Filipinos.

Ana Makosinski, a Filipino-Canadian, is set to change the world with her invention a flashlight powered solely by hand heat. Listen to her and be inspired to believe that learning should not stop and that dreams can be achieved through this.

We may not be able to invent another exciting gadget but perhaps we can do something to help our own immediate communities back in the Philippines by volunteering our resources, our knowledge, and our compassion whenever we have the chance.

We can be a source of good change and solutions. Stop complaining. No more excuses, Pilipinas.

  1. I definitely agree that OFWs can contribute more to the improvement of the economic situation of the Filipinos by moving beyond just sending money to their families. They can be more than that. Each one has his own talents that he can share with his fellow men.
