Many of us speak about love not yet found. Yet many of us gets shattered whenever love is lost.
You lose appetite at work. The emotional pain affects your physical health negatively. You lose money in the process. Especially if you go through that “wrong” kind of relationship.
These songs illuminate the undecided, unsettled grey areas of falling in love. The effort to find someone only to lose that person. The persona that makes you feel right yet wrong. The person that you makes you feel happy yet sad. How can someone make you happy yet sad?
Whether you’re trying to identify with others who have been there or you choose these not-much-heard songs as your anti-Valentine’s Day alternative to the overplayed re-make music, here’s a wealth of Pinoy songs which are some of my personal favorites that you may like (and hate) as well.
1. Sayang Ang Lahat – True Faith
“Sayang ang lahat
akala ko ay maaasahan ka
Pagtuklas sa sarili
poot ng iyong pagkukunwari
binigay ko ang lahat
Inalay ko ang bukas…”
5. DapitHapon – Johnoy Danao
“Ang pag-ibig nga naman
Kung di na maramdaman
Di kayang pagtakpan
Ang sabi nga ng iba
Kung talagang mahal mo siya
Hahayaan mong lumisan.”
6. Tayo Lang Ang May Alam – Peryodiko
I hope these songs answer your question as to whether you would rather go through it or not. To love than to never discover how it would have felt like with that person.
But despite all the pains and heartaches, always remember to be gentle to yourself.
And for the married ones, keep on loving your spouse and kids. Give them the unconditional love that they need. 😉
Happy #Hugot-filled Valentine’s Day!
